Woke up to another beautiful day in Cabanas Los Andes, ate more then I should have at the buffet breakfast, loaded the van with our eager crew…only to be welcomed by the pinche puelche. Puelche is a super strong wind that tends to blow a lot at Nevados de Chillan. So all that lovely Andean pow we had recieved the day before was blown down to who knows where. We still ventured up the mtn, facing 70mph winds and boot packed our way to the Don Otto lift terrain. There was some good snow to be found, but it was super variable and very wind affected. We even triggered a few small slides!!! After a nice lunch we made our way to the Pirrigallo Hotel and its soothing termas heated waters. Even when the puelche blows we can find a way to enjoy ourselves. Wish us luck for tomorrow!!! Until later…T
